This drawing is inspired by the song, “This Life This Time” ( 今生今世 ) by Hong Kong singer, Leslie Cheung ( 張國榮 ). The song was released in 1995.

The beautiful lyrics are written by Clarence Hui ( 許願 ).

This song was featured in the 1994 Hong Kong romantic comedy, "He’s a Woman, She’s a Man” ( 金枝玉葉 ) featuring Anita Yuen, Carina Lau and Leslie Cheung. In the movie, Yuen is a girl who is desperate to meet her favourite idol, Lau and her record producer boyfriend played by Cheung. In order to get closer to them, she pretends to be a man and goes for an audition, to which she succeeds. She ends up falling in love with Cheung, and Cheung also develops feelings too without knowing Yuen is pretending to be a man. The film ends up being about this messy love triangle.
